8 Ways to Win My Heart

1. Honesty. Over the years I’ve built a fortress around my heart. I’ve been hurt, betrayed, toyed with and strung along with lies manipulating me into thinking that honesty is rare. If you are honest with me, whether good or bad, my heart will be yours.

2. Kindness & Compassion. To have someone want to know how you are without having any motive but to authentically care is easily one of the most vibrant forms of flattery. I truly believe that the way you treat people when no one is looking shows your true character.

3. Confidence. When it comes to men… I like a man who knows what he’s worth. Confidence is different than cockiness.

4. Positivity. To have an aura of positivity in the midst of such a negative world is like luring a cat with catnip. Everyone battles with negativity, but to have someone there for you holding your hand, lifting you up, and reminding you that the negativity goes away, is beautiful.

5. Manners. I don’t care if we’re just friends or trying to be more… I can not stand any person without manners. Being raised by my amazing parents in the south, I’ve learned the value of a “please” and “thank you”. Boys, you treat your mamas right! Open them doors for ladies!

6. A love for family and friends. The way you treat your family and friends shows the way you’re going to treat the people you love. I could never give my heart to someone who doesn’t love and respect their family and friends.

7. Not afraid to be goofy. This may be one of the biggest ways to my heart by far. I love people who are not afraid to laugh at themselves, be as silly as you want, sing terribly as loud as you can in the car, dance, make jokes! Smile! Having a sense of humor is one of the most important things to me.
